Kolmas rahvusvaheline SchoolEmergency projektikohtumine 

28.-30 jaanuar kohtusid seitsme projektipartnerist organisatsiooni esindajad Vilniuses. Järjekorras kolmas projektikohtumine sisaldas endas järgmist:

Esimesel päeval tervitas meid Sandra Norbutaite Vilniuse linnavalitsuse ja päästeteenistuse poolt. Linnavalitsuse maja koosolekusaalis esitles projekti koordinaator läbitud testifaasi tulemusi. Eelmise aasta lõpukuud olid ju projektiplatvormi testimiseks koolides. Gaia koolis osalesid testifaasis õpetajad Kaire Maali, Raine, Rita ja Taisto. Õpetajate mooduli läbimisel said osalejad ka esimese tunnistuse. Lisaks viidi läbi 12 erinevat teematundi 3.-7. klassi õpilastega. Teemadeks maavärinad, tulekahju, esmaabi ja terrorioht. Testifaasi tulemused ja tagasiside andsid partneritele juhiseid eelolevaks moodulite parandamiseks ning lisamaterjali loomiseks. 

Üldine tagasiside oli väga positiivne, loodetavasti saab lõpptulemus olema piisavalt atraktiivne ja informatiivne, et seda nii meie kui teiste riikide õpetajad oma tundides kasutada soovivad. 

Meeldetuletuseks projekti olemusest - loomisel on viis erinevat veebipõhist platvormi, milles leiduv informatsioon peaks aitama kooliõpetajatel saada lisateadmisi järgmiste hädaolukordade olemuse ja nendes käitumise kohta - maavärinad, toksilised pilved, tulekahju, terrorioht ja esmaabi. Platvormil saavad olema praktilised juhendid ja materjalid nendes teemades tundide läbiviimiseks. 

Nüüd pole muud kui Gaia kooli tiimil on vaja kibekähku tööle hakata, vastavad parandused ja lisandused sisse viia ning kui viimane projektikohtumine Taanis maikuus läbi on, siis alustada kogu platvormi tõlkimist. Jah, tõepoolest, moodulid saavad olema eestikeelsed! 

See rahvusvaheline strateegilise koostöö projekt on kahe päästeameti Frederiksborg Fire and Rescue Service (Taani) ja Alcala de Guadaira Fire and Rescue Service (Hispaania) koostöös sündinud algatus, kus osalevad lisaks kahele mainitule veel Estonian Rescue Board (Eesti), Vilnius Division of Civil Protection (Leedu), ja koolide poolt on esindatud Vilniaus "Genio" (Leedu), Gaia Hariduse Selts (Eesti) ning Profesor Tierno Galván high school (Hispaania). School Emergency projekti kaasrahastab Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Third transnational meeting of the School Emergency project

From 28th to 30th January, the seven partner organisations of the School Emergency project met in Vilnius (Lithuania) for their third transnational meeting. 

The objective of the project is to develop the first e-learning platform for primary and secondary school teachers and students on how to respond to the emergencies most likely to occur in EU schools: first aid, fire, terrorist threat, earthquake and toxic cloud. These emergencies were selected based on the results of the transnational study that the partners carried out between October 2017 and January 2018. Results showed that 22.36% of the teachers and 33.37% of the students have not been trained at all on how to respond to these emergencies. For 41.46% of the teachers and 47.19% of the students who were trained, the training was “not enough” because it was limited to evacuation in case of fire (87.75% teachers, 94.18% students) and it was too short (less than 3 hours for 62.53% of the teachers, and less than 1 hour for 58.43% of the students). 

The first day of the meeting began with a warm welcome from Sandra Norbutaite, Head of Vilnius Civil Protection. Next, the project partners presented and evaluated the results from the testing of the e-learning platform in four countries (Denmark, Spain, Estonia and Lithuania) between September and December 2019. Based on the testers feedback, the project partners defined the improvements to be implemented on the e-learning platform before the final publication in September 2020. 

The next project meeting will take place in Hillerød (Denmark) in May 2020. During this meeting the project partners will evaluate the final version of the e-learning platform and plan the final dissemination activities of the project.  

This cross-sectoral and cross-border partnership is an initiative of Frederiksborg Fire and Rescue Service (Denmark) in collaboration with Alcala de Guadaira Fire and Rescue Service (Spain), Estonian Rescue Board (Estonia), Vilnius Division of Civil Protection (Lithuania), Vilniaus "Genio" school (Lithuania), Gaia Hariduse Selts (Estonia), and the high school Profesor Tierno Galván (Spain). The School Emergency project is co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union.
